DRCC Session 3 Class #6

I have been wanting to use the wide chocolate and colonial white ribbon for quite some time now, but I just never seemed to make it work on a layout. This layout originally has a piece of paper in place of the ribbon, but I wanted to bring a different color onto this layout other than blue, considering that my pictures have red as the dominant color. I hope that you also think that the blue and brown balance out all of the red. I used rub on letters for the title and added some scalloped 3D accents.

DRCC Session 3 Class #1

Welcome to a new session! This one will be shorter, only 8 classes this round, until the end of June. We will be taking a break over the summer and I will be back at it in September, this time with a 12-week session.

I pulled out an oldie paper pack, so old I forget the name... sorry about that. I had some left over so I thought we'd use it in this class as I had a request for some baby girl pictures. This layout could also be used for more of a romantically themed set of pictures. We used a small rub-on in the top left corner and we will also be using the masking technique as the journaling box stamp in the middle actually includes lines in the stamp. I didn't have as much journaling as the lines suggested and I wanted to use larger writing. This also leaves the space for a quote or another picture instead of journaling. For the more labor intensive scrapper, the title letters could also be cut out individually to give it a more versatile look. We are somewhat short on time in class so I thought a title box would be more suited for the class.

DRCC Session 1 Class #8

For this class I kept the layout fairly simple as the lettered paper is quite busy. I punched holes through the new Milepost stars to create a cool 3D accent, then strung a piece of hemp through the holes to make a banner. 

I found these cute little paper bags that I thought made a good spot for some hidden journaling or a special stamp like I did here. 

For the title, I cut out this shape on my Slice and then used rub-ons for the letters. This is the Typeset paper and it is great for school pictures as well.
