Scrapaholics Unite Session 4 Class 1

I know it's not Christmas anymore, but that's the best time to scrapbook your holiday pictures. This is the White Pines paper pack from the Holiday Expressions book. It has a great zipstrip that you can see running across the top of the page. 

I added Christmas Village stamps to the bottom of the page using Cocoa ink. I coloured in certain parts of the houses to add a bit of colour to them. Each person can colour in as much or as little as they want. I added clear Stickles to the snow on the roofs of the buildings. I don't have journaling for my page yet so I used this nice silhouette stamp on the red Cranberry cardstock piece. Using Versamark ink, I stamped the image and then heat embosses it with white then I stamped it again and heat set it once more using clear sparkle embossing powder. This makes the image easy to see, but adds the sparkle I want. 

Scrapaholics Unite Session 3 Class 1

Welcome back to my class! It's been a long time, but we're back in the swing of things and I have a new Idea Book to work with. This paper, Sarita, is from the Annual Inspirations Idea Book and it has such wonderful colors in it. Great for lots of different layouts. While I somewhat went more autumnal with this layout, it is quite versatile. The boldness of the chevron complements the more ombre page. I used the cricut to cut out the half circles, leaves, and sign. 

To add a bit of extra to the page, I added stickles in complementary colors to the stamped tree. I also popped up the title sign

Scrapaholics Unite Session 1 Class 7

Confetti Wishes - the name just screams cakes and cupcakes and parties, doesn't it? As I sat at my work desk looking at this paper and trying to get some inspiration, I received my latest CTMH order. In that order was the December Stamp of the Month, Cutie Pie. Well the layout just got slapped together after that. Mind you, I had to finish up the cards for the workshop coming up this weekend, so that's why it's a bit later than usual, sorry all! I did find the layout from Scrapbook Generations on this blog post, with my own added spin on it of course, but they do have some excellent layouts. 

To create the 3 colored cupcake on the top left of the page, I stamped the stand in Pacifica ink, then stamped the cupcake twice, once in Crystal Blue and once in Petal (purple).

I then cut out all 3 images, but only cutting out the top portion of the cupcake in the purple.

I adhered the cupcake onto the stand and used 3D foam to put the top purple half of the cupcake on. I added purple Stickles for the cherry and blue stickles for the bottom wrapper of the cupcake. 

I finished off the page by adding Stickles to the hearts on the title and the wooden Polaroid frame. I also used some glitter tape to add some more sparkle and a bit of ribbon under the title. 

                                              

DRCC Session 5 Class #5

This is an old paper pack called Aspen. I love the snowflake paper and its definitely a nice gender and age neutral layout. I had also gotten the cotton ball ribbon awhile ago, I think it adds to the playfulness of the layout. I added some Stickles to the corners of the letters in the title to echo frost on the window. I also used the emboss resist technique and made some boot prints in the snow.

DRCC Session 1 Class #2

The theme of Class #2 is flow across 2 pages. You'll see that the leaves are placed across the layout as if the wind has blown them and it brings your eyes from the left to the right. We'll also be using Stickles (glitter glue), rhinestones and 3D foam tape. For the more adventurous students, I'll also be demonstrating 2nd generation stamping.

I'm using the Dreamin paper from CTMH and I've maximized the paper used as I've incorporated the border strip that is now on the new Background and Textured paper from CTMH.

This layout could also be changed up to become spring or summer themed taking advantage of the dandelion shapes in the brown paper.

Peek-a-boo Pumpkin Card

This was a fairly easy card to make and didn't require too many materials. I first covered a card base with my patterned paper (CTMH Believe paper pack). Then I took a 2" circle punch and cut out the circle. I used my Slice to cut out the pumpkin and the Happy Thanksgiving.  I then inked the edges of the cardstock for definition. Stickles glitter glue made a nice change for the dots to my i's.

 I placed the pumpkin visible within the cutout, but not directly in the centre so as to make it more of a peek type of accent. It adds a nice holiday element to the inside of the card.

I used a scallop border punch for an accent underneath Happy and added the chocolate ribbon detail above.
